Addition for those who abuse the "cabanis" or have trouble understanding what the spacing of the E strings means :-) As the strings must pass through the holes of the plate to be able to enter directly into the holes of the tremolo block , so the holes must fall in front of the drilled holes in the plate otherwise you won't be able to run the strings straight through the tremolo block!! When changing strings you will have to remove the plate. It is therefore best to measure the spacing of the E strings to ensure that the holes of the plate are aligned with those of your tremolo block.
